        Bull

An investor who buys a security in the hope of selling it at a higher price, as he thinks the market will go up. A bull market is a rising market in which bulls would prosper.

An investor who thinks the market will rise. Related: bear.

An investor who thinks the market, a specific security, or an industry will rise.

An investor who thinks the market or a specific security or industry will rise. A bull market is an extended period in which the market consistently rises.

An investor who believes that the prices of shares are going to rise. He is therefore a buyer in anticipation of selling at a higher price.
