        Loading

The extent to which an individual is charged more than the "standard" or "average" rate for their insurance.

A term for the administration charges imposed by institutions on mutual funds, unit trusts and pension plans. Charges that are incurred when you buy units in a fund are known as front-end or initial charges, and those which are incurred when you sell are known as back-end or exit charges.
