Timely execution - The principle that stockbrokers should transact the sell/buy orders of their clients within a reasonable time - 20 minutes from the time of order is taken to be the appropriate period. If a broker is unable to transact the order within that time, he or she will consult the client to make sure that the instructions are still valid.
